London day 1

Ok, so I made it to London. It was a long flight with a delay in Seattle that made me almost miss my flight to london, but I made it. Didn't sleep more than 2 hours though. The atms in the airport were out of cash, so i ended up spending the first few hours with no cash, not a good thing when you are in need of food, and transportation. Thankfully I charged my underground pass, and found an ATM while lost near my hostel. Yes, I said lost, are you really surprised?

Anyway, I ended up at the hostel, and checked in. it is really a great place too, near the Pimlico station. I checked in after a guy that happend to be in my dorm too, named Martin. We started talking, and he was really cool. He actually had lived in London for 7 monthes, which meant he knew people and the city. Hooray for my own personal tour guide.

So, off we went on a whirlwind tour of the main sites in London. Buckingham Palace, the royal mews, St james palace, Trafalger Square, St Martin in the fields, Covenant Garden Market and even the Waterloo Bridge which I think has the very best view of the city. You can see everything but London Bridge and Tour Bridge from there, it is really amazing.

After the whirlwind tour, we met some of his friends at a bar in Covenant Garden, a swank area actually, called the Verve. It was a bit strange with a chandelier in the middle and then not getting carded, I am so used to being carded. It was quite fun, and after the bar, four other people and me went to a club called Suede, and danced to weird and cheesy music. At 11pm, I was exhausted, so Martin took me back to the hostel. Good thing because I had no clue where I was and he was holding me up as I was so tired.
